SIP THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON WITH HARVEST MOON
Each season, our roasting team creates a new blend to reflect the flavors of the season, combining inspiring single origins to create an exceptional blend experience. Every fall, we aim to strike a balance of bright acidity with deep sweetness and call it Harvest Moon. This year, two washed single origin coffees from Guatemala and Ethiopia were chosen to create this autumnal blend.
Nery Pablo Lopez’s coffees set up the rich base of the blend. A second generation farmer, Nery inherited the Wacamaya or “Parrot” farm in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, from his parents in 2010. Nery grows Bourbon and Caturra varieties here, and with the help of El Sendero Cooperative has transformed the quality and quantity of the coffees produced on the farm.
Menu-staple Reko from Kochere, Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia makes up the rest of this year’s Harvest Moon. Reko gets its namesake after Reko mountain and the washing station the coffee is processed at. Reko is well known by its fans for its tea-like qualities and electric acidity, ideal for brightening up this fall blend.
Once combined, the final blend is crisp and comforting, with notes of caramel apples, orange peel, and milk chocolate. Warm your hands with Harvest Moon in your favorite mug, or enjoy in a cappuccino for an indulgent treat.
