AN EXCITING NATURAL COFFEE WORTH CELEBRATING

Each year we look forward to releasing the fan-favorite Party. Always a natural processed coffee from Ethiopia, this year we are bringing back Raro Nansebo for its pastry-like sweetness and bright acidity. Raro Nansebo is a small community in the Uraga district of Guji. Because of the consistent, high elevations in Uraga coupled with the well-known varieties and unique landraces, coffees from Uraga tend to be dense and packed with flavor, and Party is an excellent example of these qualities. This selection comes from farmers who harvested and turned in their coffee cherries to a natural processing site run by Ture Waji, Eegata Alaka, and Fedhesa Wodessa. Here, the coffee cherries are laid out in thin layers and dried on raised beds for approximately 15-21 days, depending on the weather. During this time the coffee cherries are constantly turned throughout the day to ensure even drying. All under-ripe cherries are sorted out during the initial drying. Party gets its name from both its explosive, colorful tasting notes as well as its passionate fans celebrating every season it rejoins our menu. This year, we’re enjoying intense jammy notes of blueberry and strawberry, with floral honey-like sweetness.
