A CLASSIC KENYAN SL-28 FROM STORIED WASHING STATION KARINGA
Just north of Nairobi, nearly 1,000 farmers grow coffee on small plots surrounding the Karinga Factory. At 1,900 meters, SL-28 and SL-34 thrive in the region’s rich soils before making their way to the factory to be carefully washed and dried. Karinga is a coffee we’ve returned to across multiple harvests, drawn back by its unmistakable energy. This season is lively and expressive, with black cherry, nectarine and blood orange giving way to the deep sweetness of brown sugar, a vibrant expression of Kenyan coffee.
