AN AROMATIC BRAZILIAN SINGLE ORIGIN

Eliezer Calvi's family originally settled in Castelo, Brazil in search of minerals and gold deposits, but he pivoted and began planting coffee plants around 1900. It took many decades for the coffee plants to adapt to the cooler climate in Castelo. Today the region has warmed a bit, making Castelo a unique terroir to produce high floral aromatics with an orange flower twist. In a country that primarily produces natural or pulped-natural (honey process) coffee, it is rare to find a producer committed to processing coffee in the washed method with great attention to detail. In Sitio Vista Linda expect notes of orange zest, nougat, and graham cracker.
